Okinawan Karate of Rochester Hills

is dedicated to the teaching of

Shorin Ryu Shido Kan Karate,

under the direction of the

North American Beikoku Shidokan Association,

headed by Sensei Seikichi Iha, Hanshi, 10th Dan.


Our mission is to provide Rochester Hills, Michigan and the surrounding area with the highest quality of martial arts training and instruction. Our goal is to promote friendship, cooperation and learning through the discipline of karate.

Rochester Hills dojo (training hall) was established in 1996 by Robert and Laura Chartier, who currently run and operate as Cho Branch Directors of the Rochester Shibu Dojo.



Sensei Sekichi Iha, 10 Dan; Sensei Rob Chartier, 4 Dan; Sensei Laura Chartier, 4 Dan; Sensei Koichi Nakasone, 8 Dan.

Okinawan Karate of Rochester Hills offers classes for children and adults.



Located just 1/4 mile north of M-59 on the corner of Starr-Batt and Crooks Road, the dojo has easy access from both I-75 and M-59 freeways.
